My interest in being a funeral celebrant stems from planning my own daughter’s and my granddaughter’s funerals. Although sad occasions, these were both beautiful ceremonies that reflected their personalities and celebrated their lives rather than their passing.
I am a celebrant who believes that funerals need to be a celebration of life - presented with dignity and compassion. It is a time to reflect on your loved ones life story, and celebrate the person who was and forever will be.
Through telling their stories, we celebrate their lives and as fellow mourners think about happier times and contemplate not what you have lost, but what you have gained from having them in your lives. In honouring and celebrating their life, I will create a ceremony which reflects their unique nature and the influence they had on the lives of others.
